Hello Christmas '22
We are ready with a shiny new look, bright warming decorations and shelves filled with sustainable gifts. Not to mention the giant jars brimming with delicious dried fruit and fragrant festive spices.
We think we have something for everyone this year...
We thought we'd drop you a line detailing some of our favourite festive ideas, just in case you're struggling to get into town. So here it goes.
We've stocked a whole new selection of tempting vegan chocolates and goodies. We have:
- Chocolate orange coated figs
- Chocolate coated salted dates
- Vegan marshmallows
- Festive spiced hot chocolate
- Solid chocolate Christmas trees (pictured above)
We also decided to stock crackers in bulk this year, meaning you can buy as many or as few as you need - none sat in your cupboard all year! The crackers are plastic free, made of recycled cardboard and are fully recyclable. They each include a hat, joke, decoration and a game.
We have even considered your four-legged friends this year by stocking crackers for dogs! We have ordered some dog treats from Good Chaps. The treats and toys are available as a bauble, cracker or sack. They are all plastic free and the ingredients are all natural.
Each year it gets more challenging to find ethical and plastic-free gifts that other shops are not selling. We dedicate a lot of time finding unique present ideas and our favourite this year the Seaweed Press. Potentially the most Falmouth gift Falmouth has ever seen?
Give the gift of exploring the Cornish coastline and then crafting in front of the fire. Made in the UK, plastic-free and beautifully boxed. We also have some pocket-sized flower presses and some recipe journals from the same supplier.
As you know, we are big fans of stocking essential but sustainable items, and we believe these can also make great gifts. We have some nice gift boxes and shredded paper this year, meaning you could gift a 'Laundry Set' (pictured below on the right). Solid laundry detergent sheets, recycled dryer balls designed to speed up dryer time, and some beautiful bamboo pegs. A gift for someone who is impossible to buy for? The boxes can be filled with anything you choose in the shop. We particularly like the idea of a tea strainer and jarred loose tea as a giftset.
Speaking of jars, we have a limited number of Weck clip-top jars and flip-top jars this year. They make a great gift themselves, but could be filled with locally made Cornish Rocket Pasta, or warming hot chocolate.
We also have some essentials for your home that might be useful over the Christmas period, for example, foil, baking parchment, fire lighters and dish soap.
It is Falmouth's Festive Weekend this week, so a fun time to pop in for some Christmas shopping?
We hope to see you in the run up to Christmas, and we would like to take this moment to wish you a very merry festive period.
Thanks for your ongoing support,
Hannah & team x
