un_rap is becoming a co_op
Falmouth’s zero waste shop on Webber Street has been lovingly and successfully run for 6 ½ years. To keep the eco shop on the high street, the current owner, Hannah, and the customers, are joining forces to run it together.
Our initial launch event was well attended and proved to be a big success. We are now busy transitioning into a community-owned and community-centred shop.
The Committee
Five loyal customers and current owner Hannah make up the Management Committee of the co-op.
Jake Causley, Marian Saunders, Mael Garrec, Ellen Monaghan, Naomi Griffiths and Hannah Pearce are current founding members. (With special mention to Lotty Brand).
We have now secured registration as a Community Benefit Society, so the Crowdfunder will soon be launched, and Membership will soon be available to buy.
